LOCAL RIDES
We STRONGLY recommend that you DO NOT ride Great Barrier Reef Drive outside of the Port Douglas Gran Fondo as it is a very busy highway that is used by sugar cane trucks, tourist buses, cars towing caravans and tourists driving up and back from Cairns. There are tight winding corners and no shoulder so stay safe and enjoy riding around other parts of the region instead.
Here are some local routes to help you explore the local area. We have shorter rides and longer rides that will take you across the Daintree River and up as far as Cape Tribulation, where the Reef meets the Rainforest.
Click on the link and this will take you to the route on Ride With GPS. You can then download the course in the file format that best suites your bike computer.
