Criterium racing provides both competitors and spectators the thrill of racing around a fully closed road circuit and is sure to be a highlight of the weekend. The 2.2km circuit is fast and flat with a long back straight with a sweeping right turn into the final 250m sprint to the line. Positioning will be crucial for the sprinters looking to cross the finish line first.
With the circuit right in front of the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina, Hemingway’s Brewery and Choo Choos at the Marina it is the perfect excuse to enjoy a cold one with your mates while watching exciting racing.
Races will be run according to AusCycling technical regulations and open to anyone who holds an AusCycling “Race All Discipline” license (no trial memberships) or you can purchase a 1-day licence when entering online. You will be asked to nominate your grade while entering.

- Road bikes only
- E-Bikes, recumbents, time-trial bikes or tandems are NOT permitted in the Cairns Post Criterium

Please note that your entry does not include any insurance for bikes and accessories. It is recommended that individuals consider their own insurance.
